wow, it's been a really long time. 

so my word is crap, don't listen to anything I say. ;)

i guess i've been gone for so long and i really wanted to design some stuff. sorry for slacking friends. i hope you'll come back!

tutorial: 

so this week my tutorial is from the ever so great PSDTUTS, called: Creating A Cool Vintage Collage Design In Photoshop. Some of this stuff is pretty simple but I definitely don't know how to use Photoshop like I should. Plus I'm just not a big fan with all the layers and everything. But there are a lot of great things you can do in Photoshop. + it was good to learn some new stuff!

ok, I've been putting off my website design (much like this blog) for quite some time. but I really need to get going on that. So, congrats friends, you are the first to see the newly redesigned website for oh, hello friend. I am not sure what I will do with my other domain, it's so outdated and old.  so here we are:

i like it. simple. my style. similar to my other site ;) i'll probably get tired of it and end up changing it anyway. but here it is for now. critiques and feedback definitely wanted - let me know what you think! especially you mye, since you're a website pro now. and curtis, since you just re-designed your new site!

boo, this is just sad-bear!

Week 2 1/2 Design - Mr. Elliott

As inspired by Mye's use of 3D type I started on this last week but put it off and finished it this morning, thought I would share it :)

and since I'm so over 'being green' and here is the result of a lovely sign.

Better late than never (Danni!), here is my tutorial for the week from psdtuts.com called "Creating a Vector Composite from a Photo".

Coulda been better, but it was fun none the less, learned some new things and that's what counts.

Maybe next week I will post a tutorial on how to stick my head on a sexy man's body, that could do me good in this world don't you think?

2nd Week - MYE

Lately I've been noticing the use of 3d type in design and I was really impressed with the results so I decided to try it out :) A lot of the tutorials for 3d type involved a 3d program but lucky for you guys I didn't give up and found one that uses illustrator.

Sorry guys I'll post this weeks project in the next few days for now enjoy my 3d type piece :)

First Week Post - Mr. Elliott pt. 2

And here is my design, supposed to be an animated GIF but I can't figure this crap out on Blogger.  It's something I put together this week at work.  It's not fully baked yet, some issues with the type I noticed after attempting the animation, but fun to look at none the less. It's the wheel of excuses (and a concept I can't take credit for) but the design is aaaaaalllllll mine.

ok friends, my tutorial is the "Trendy Geometric Lines Design Tutorial" from blog spoon graphics. i thought it was pretty cool.

they are basically just sale fliers for a made-up shop. but i really liked the "sale" font so that's really the motivation to be able to use it in some design. the scanned papers, well, you know i love scanned papers : )

1st Week Post - MYE

So I've been obsessing with the whole 90's look like this lupe fiasco album cover. So I decided to teach myself the whole light effects with a tutorial my friend emailed me from Computer Arts .

As for my project for this week I decided to turn my tutorial images into a magazine layout. Enjoy.
