HA, sorry I'm late friends. My tutorial was from vectortuts: creating environmentally friendly green type. and since I'm so over 'being green' and here is the result of a lovely sign.
Lately I've been noticing the use of 3d type in design and I was really impressed with the results so I decided to try it out :) A lot of the tutorials for 3d type involved a 3d program but lucky for you guys I didn't give up and found one that uses illustrator.
Sorry guys I'll post this weeks project in the next few days for now enjoy my 3d type piece :)
And here is my design, supposed to be an animated GIF but I can't figure this crap out on Blogger. It's something I put together this week at work. It's not fully baked yet, some issues with the type I noticed after attempting the animation, but fun to look at none the less. It's the wheel of excuses (and a concept I can't take credit for) but the design is aaaaaalllllll mine.
design friends was created for a group of post-college friends to keep accountability for design and each other. in the midst of jobs and somewhat boring designs we have to do for work, we need an outlet to help, inspire, and create for ourselves. anyone can join in, if you want to, let us know.
1 tutorial. 1 new design. 1 week. well not necessarily every week.
